The universe can emphasize this. It will show us a bundle of new things that we can find in our life. And I find that I have misjudged others.
Misjudging someone is as easy as eating food. It happens naturally. We do not need to think too much. Somehow, we even do not realize that we eat too much until we see a lot of plastic wrapper of snacks in front of us, don’t we? However, misjudging has never been a good attitude. Never.
I have misjudged people around me. What I did was just letting myself think that they were like my opinion, while I did not know the fact. Blaming some things on the people, though the thought was only in my head. Though I had never talked about it. The worst is that I did not do anything. I felt that my opinion was enough to fulfill my head. I did not try to look for the truth.
Have you seen “Pride and Prejudice” movie? That is such a beautiful movie, anyway. Watching this movie again makes me understand many things. About prejudice. We can see that Lizzie was wrong about Mr. Darcy, maybe also about Mr. Wickham. And Mr. Darcy was also wrong in many cases. And so other people: Mr. Bingley was wrong about Jane, Jane and her family was wrong about Lizzie, and so many other things. There is a scene: when Lizzie talked to her dad about Mr. Darcy. Lizzie said, “He wasn’t proud. I was wrong. I was entirely wrong about him. We don’t know Papa. If I told you what he’s really like, what he’s done..” These sentences really stab me downward. We are also a fool, don’t we? We usually see people as if we know them very much, as if we have already revealed secret things that they have. But we haven’t. Even we feel afraid to be clumsy or awkward to get closer. To know the truth.
Like Lizzie said, we were misjudging in every way, not just in a matter. Then, when we know the truth, perhaps we will regret it. Regret that we spent too much time to sink in misjudging. Regret why we don’t encourage ourselves to embrace them since the beginning so that we won’t be wrong.
We are all trapped by the beauty of prejudice. But, remember: it has dark beauty. Prejudice will lead us to misjudging, somehow. Thus, try to remember, do you misjudge someone recently?
